At Destination Nashville we truly enjoy and appreciate meeting and working with some of the country's finest professional meeting planners. Katey Preston, CMP, is an excellent example of someone who is easy to work with and has the insight on how to successfully run meetings and events of all shapes and sizes.
Katey's first exposure to the hospitality industry was working events at the 1996 Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta, GA Since her introduction to the industry, Katey's experience in hospitality includes positions held at Northwestern University, InterContinental Hotel and her current position as Director of Meetings for the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC). Since joining AISC, the association has seen huge growth and development in all meetings, particularly the North American Steel Construction Conference recently held in Nashville.
Katey's passion and creativity allowed Destination Nashville to create an exciting event for her 1,400 guests. Although Katey's expectations were high, she trusted Destination Nashville with every detail. Her trust and partnership in our DMC team helped us produce the Honky Tonk Alley Party, where guests flowed through the bars on the Honky Tonk Highway that once housed musicians that made Nashville famous.
Katey's guests are still talking about the event!
