DESTINATION NASHVILLE NOMINATED FOR TWO ADME AWARDS
In January, the Association for Destination Management Executives (ADME) announced the nominations of the 2010 ADME Achievement Awards. Destination Nashville is nominated for 2 ADME Achievement Awards. Winners will be announced at the ADME Annual Conference on February 20, 2010, at the Westin Buckhead Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia.

In 2009, Nashville Business Journal once again recognized Destination Nashville as one of Nashville's Largest Women Owned Businesses. This is the fourth time Destination Nashville has appeared on this prestigious list. In 2006, Destination Nashville was first recognized as #21, moved up to #15 in 2007 and is ranked #13 in 2008 and 2009. Destination Nashville enjoys one of the most distinguished and preeminent reputations in the meetings and hospitality industry.

ROBYN McCAMY NAMED MPI:TN "SUPPLIER OF THE YEAR"
Robyn M. McCamy, Associate Director of Sales for Destination Nashville wins the highly coveted MPI:TN Circle of Excellence “Supplier of the Year" Award.
This award is presented annually to the member of MPI:TN in recognition of outstanding association/industry contributions, leadership and professionalism. The award is based on participation on the chapter and international level, presentations relating to the industry in general, articles written in the hospitality industry press, community service and industry recognition previously received. The “Supplier of the Year" Award recognizes a career of involvement, commitment and achievement, and recipients represent models of professional excellence for the MPI:TN chapter.

DESTINATION NASHVILLE NAMED GLOBAL EVENTS PARTNERS "PARTNER OF THE YEAR"
Destination Nashville was named “Partner of the Year” by Global Events Partners (GEP) at the 2008 Client Summit held July 9 – 12 in Paris, France. GEP, the industry’s leading partnership representing the world’s finest destination management companies welcomed close to 200 participants at this year’s Summit. Attendees included 110 clients and 90 partners from 60 companies representing over 90 destinations.

I have to start out by saying... I get so much out of these educational conferences. As a relatively new member of MPI (4 years), I walk away with information that not only pertains to the industry but my daily job responsibilities as well. At this year's Professional Educational Conference in Houston, they called it MeetDifferent to capture the flavor of adventure and exploration. We learned new ideas to create a sense of bravery in meetings and events. Below is a short abbreviation of what we did, how the conference impacted me personally and what we did as an organization to start the evolution of change.
